D-2 (Overseas Study) VISA

  • International Students staying in Korea must apply for D-2 Visa
  • Required Documents
    • Application form
    • Passport-sized color photo (1 copy)
    • Receipt of tuition payment
    • Fee (130,000 Won)
    • Passport
    • Certificate of university registration
    • Proof of residence
  • International students from 16 countries that have high risk for tuberculosis are required to submit a Tuberculosis Medical Report issued by a Public Health Center
    * China, Sri Lanka, Russia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia

Foreigner Registration

Before classes commences on March 1st for the 1st semester and September 1st for the 2nd semester, international students are supposed to do Foreigner Registration.

  • New international students who hold a D-2 visa are obligated to register their status in Korea.
  • Registration venue: Immigration Service Office
  • Required Documents
    • Application form (available on site or download from www.hikorea.go.kr)
    • Passport
    • Certificate of university registration
    • Proof of residence
    • Passport-sized color photo (1 copy)
    • Receipt of tuition payment
    • Fee (30,000 Won)
  • International students from 16 countries that have high risk for tuberculosis are also required to submit a Tuberculosis Medical Report issued by a Public Health Center for Foreigner Registration as well.
