Q. Is it possible to take leave of absence during the program?
You can take a leave of absence at the end of Term 1 or Term 3 (Jan, Aug) for one year. You will not be able to take a leave of absence for just 1 semester due to the course schedule. If a student needs to extend the leave of absence period because of unavoidable circumstances, the period can be extended with SKK GSB Dean’s approval.
Q. What is the Executive MBA curriculum structure?
The Executive MBA curriculum consists of four terms; Term 1 (Aug – Dec), Term 2 (Jan – Apr), Term 3 (May – Aug), Term 4 (Sep - Jan). Graduation is in February. There are two ‘No-class Week’s’ for every term. The Weeks will help you to set up business trips or family occasion schedules during your EMBA study. The Executive MBA curriculum and academic calendar will be finalized by June.
Q. What kinds of scholarship are available for the Executive MBA students?
There are two scholarships for the Executive MBA students; Future CEO Scholarship& Incoming Student Scholarship.
Future CEO Scholarship
• 30,000,000 KRW in total
(Scholarship will be deducted from the first registration installment.)
• Future CEO scholarship applicant should have one of following five requirements:
o Top Talent
o Female Leader
o International Leader
o Family Business Successor
o Entrepreneur
Incoming Student Scholarship
• 9,200,000 KRW (10% of whole tuition) or 18,400,000 KRW (20% of whole tuition) in total
All admitted students are eligible for the incoming student scholarship based on their applications, and performance in the admission process. Selections will be made by the admissions committee.

Q. What is the criteria to select scholarship students?
The Scholarship is decided based on applicant’s overall performance during the entire admission process – application review & interview. The scholarship rate is applied for every term until graduation. The SKK GSB Admission Committee selects all scholarship students before class commencement. There is no other scholarship like for eg., Academic Excellence Awards. Once your scholarship is decided, it will not be changed during the academic period.
Q. Should I submit the TOEFL or IELTS test score?
You can submit admission documents and take an interview without an English test score.
However, the English test score (TOEFL or IELTS – Academic) is required for all international students who enroll in Indiana University. All admitted students should submit the score by May latest, before the first semester starts. The recommended score is 80 for TOEFL iBT, but your admission will not be cancelled even though your score is low. Other tests besides TOEFL or IELTS score are not accepted.
Q. Should I submit a sealed academic transcript?
Yes. Indiana University accepts sealed academic transcripts only. IU does not accept online printed or photo scanned transcript. Make sure you request your school to issue the transcript with a seal and submit it to SKK GSB.
