The 2024 Summer Graduation Ceremony of the Business School Concludes Successfully

The Business School held the 2024 Summer Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, August 17, at 11:00 a.m. in the New Millennium Hall, located on the second basement level of the 600th Anniversary Memorial Hall at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus. A total of 415 graduates received their degrees during this summer's ceremony, including 223 bachelor’s degree recipients (172 from the Business Administration Department and 51 from the Global Business Administration Department), 15 master’s degree recipients from the Graduate School (11 in Business Administration and 4 in FinTech Convergence), 81 from the Graduate School of Business (58 from the EMBA, 8 from the FinTech MBA, and 15 from Insurance and Finance), 91 from the Graduate School of Business (IMBA), and 5 doctoral degree recipients from the Graduate School.
The ceremony began with the entrance of the school flag, followed by the opening address, the national anthem and pledge of allegiance, introduction of distinguished guests, congratulatory speeches by the Dean of the Business School and the Alumni Association President, and the presentation of development funds. The ceremony also included the presentation of awards for merit, academic excellence, research achievements, and social contribution. Degrees were then conferred, with a symbolic degree certificate awarded to a representative graduate, followed by a relay handshake with all the graduates. The ceremony concluded with a gesture of gratitude, marked by the tossing of graduation caps and a commemorative photo session.
Dean Lee Seok-kyu of the Business School delivered his congratulatory address, saying, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all those graduating in the summer of 2024. If you hold gratitude in your hearts and maintain a mindset of adapting to the changes that time brings, you will be able to further develop yourselves in society. Do not fear change; instead, use it as a driving force for growth. In your journey of embracing and working through change, Sungkyunkwan University will always support and cheer you on. I hope you continue your connection with the Business School as proud members of our community. Congratulations on your new beginning.”
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Lim Kyung-yoon, President of the Business School Alumni Association, Jeon Yong-joo, President of the EMBA Alumni Association of the Graduate School of Business, and Kim Jung-tae, President of the IMBA Alumni Association. Faculty members of the Business School also participated, extending their congratulations and encouragement to the graduates.
