Sungkyunkwan University School of Business held the opening ceremony of the "Highland MBA Lounge" on the fourth floor of the management building at 17:30 p.m. on June 15 (Monday). Through remodeling work for about four months, the lounge was created with the donation of Yoon Young-mi, CEO of Highland Food, an EMBA alumni of the Graduate School of Management. On the same day, major domestic and foreign guests, including President Shin Dong-ryul, Vice President Yoo Hong-joon, Executive Director Joo Young-soo, Business School President Kim Yong-joon, Honorary Professor Oh Won-seok, W-AMP Chairman Lee Woo-hun and EMBA Chairman Oh Yoo-sik, attended the opening ceremony of the lounge.
President Shin Dong-ryul said in a congratulatory speech, "Thank you for providing space for graduate students and EMBA students at the business school, and I will repay you with a proud alma mater by becoming a more advanced Sungkyunkwan University." Kim Yong-joon, dean of the university, said, "I sincerely thank her for helping our school despite the difficult business environment due to the Corona situation. In the lounge, we will promote various programs such as student counseling, special lectures by experts on industrial sites inside and outside the school, and the implementation of a business success story contest to serve as a networking hub for 'MBA student's success'," he said.
Yoon Young-mi, who donated the lounge, said "I decided to donate the lounge because I wanted to help my school's juniors. I hope that the practice of my little sincerity will lead to another donation, and I will continue to make efforts for my school and alumni.
The Highland MBA Lounge will be used as a resting place for research and study during the day, and students in the MBA course at night. In particular, it will be used as a space for conducting team projects and networking between professors and students (such as major-related exploration, comparative activities, and other successful college life) and MBA students.
