Kim Yong-joon, the chairman of the graduate school of Sungkyunkwan University in China, was elected as the next president of Korean business administration to lead 2019 last month.
Kim was born in 1959 and graduated from Seoul National University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University. In 2000, he became the first president of Samsung Open Tide China and played a leading role in establishing a Chinese graduate school in Sungkyunkwan University. During his teaching career, he also served as a guest professor at Tsinghua University in China and the Hong Kong Chungmun University.
"Although the recent inflationary tensions between Korea and China are loosening, it is time for Korean companies to change their approach to China," he said. This means that you need to improve your skills more than businesses that rely on 'relationships' like in the past. He said, "Semiconductor and display products, which we have the most advanced technology, are free from Sad retaliation," he said. "We need to build up our core competencies so that domestic companies can supply better products at lower prices than multinationals or Chinese companies."
