The College of Business held the <1st COM&S Academic Research Fund Delivery Ceremony> at the Gwanjeong Innovation Research Center on the 3rd floor of the Business Building on Tuesday, October 17th. At the ceremony on this day, the donors included CEO Lee Woo-heon(Management General Staff 02, CEO of Com&S Co., Ltd.), Business School Alumni Association President Kim Dong-pil, EMBA Honorary Chairman Oh Yoo-sik, Business School Alumni Association Secretary General Lee Jeung-sang, and EMBA Management Expert Sa Dong-seon, Business School Dean Lee Seok-gyu, Business School Vice Dean Choi Young-soo, Former Business School Dean Ahn Hee-jun, Vice Dean Kim Sang-kyun of the Graduate Business School, MIS Head Professor Kim Yong-seok, EMBA Head Professor Kim Young-sang, Professor Seo Jeong-won, and Administrative Office Director Yeom Dong-gi.
On this day, Chairman Lee Woo-heon (CEO of Com&S) said, “It is not a large amount, but I would like to lend my support to professors who are producing excellent achievements in various fields such as research papers and winning research funding orders,” and added, “I will continue to provide support for the development of Sungkyunkwan University’s business school.”
Dean Lee Seok-gyu of the College of Business Administration expressed his gratitude, saying, “I would like to thank you for attending despite your busy schedule. The academic research funds received will be of great help to the professors’ research, and we will repay you with good results.”
Professor Seo Jeong-won (Finance Major) and Professor Choi Young-soo (Accounting Major) were selected as recipients of COM&S academic research funding this year.
Meanwhile, the COM&S academic research fund was established in 2023 with a donation from Chairman Lee Woo-heon, and for the purpose of supporting academic research by outstanding business school professors, 5 million won per project is provided by setting major fields of support for each year. In odd-numbered years(2 professors), faculty majoring in finance and accounting are selected, and in even-numbered years(3 professors) faculty majoring in business information, production operations, marketing, and management are selected, and additional incentives are provided when papers published in international academic journals of A1 level or higher for research funding projects are selected. plan to do it.
