SKKU Business Research Center participates as research facility for Korea’s Most Admired Companies ranking
Professor Sang-Ghon Rhee, dean of SKKU Business School, and Mr. Jong –Seung Lee, president of Hankook Ilbo, in a ceremony held at the Hankook Ilbo headquarters, have signed a memorandum of understanding related to the ranking Korea’s most admired companies.
The Korea’s Most Admired Companies ranking is the counterpart to the famous Fortune list. The Korean ranking will select and announce the Korean version of Fortune’s The Most Admired Companies list. The project is celebrating its 1st year anniversary, and SKKU Business Research Center director Profesor Dong-Ok Cha will cooperate in the ranking.
The Most Admired Companies list is the widely recognized annual announcement of Fortune America. For a company, getting listed is a source of pride. Along with Fortune America’s licensed magazine, Fortune Korea and SKKU Business Research Center will apply Fortune America’s survey method to Korean companies to provide fairness and objective evaluation. Participants believe the Fortune survey method will surpass existing business evaluations conducted by other organizations.
PR Week, a leading public relations publication, and Burson-Marsteller, a worldwide advertising agency, have estimated the influence of the Fortune ranking through CEO survey conducted in 2007. As a result, The Most Admired Companies list ranked as the second most influential of its kind, followed by The 100 Best Companies to Work For ranking.
Korcham, The Ministry of Strategy and Finance, and the Presidential Council on National Branding are also providing support for the ranking.
