- Start of a new semester!
- Start of a new semester! Last week, Full-Time MBA class started again at SKK GSB. For the class of 2020, the first semester is over and the second semester is just ahead. As one period closes so a new one starts. The last weeks of December were hectic with a full work load, but as soon as finals were over, students used their break time to relax, learn and explore. Many of the students went abroad, some to their home towns, others set out to explore Korea or even Asia. Friends that had worked hard together through the semester, were all enjoying the break in different ways. Students immediately immersed themselves in their studies at the opening of the class. Early next month, students will kick off Applied Business Projects (ABP), a field-based course in which they will participate in lectures from senior industry executives and tackle real-world consulting projects mentored by professors and industry experts. ABP will expose students to invaluable practical learning experiences which will grant them a major advantage in their job searches.

- Financial News Interview: Professor Tay Seop Lim
- Professor Tay Seop Lim, from the Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Business (SKK GSB) diagnosed the current stock market situation in this way. "There is no clear momentum for the stock market. It is time to focus on value rather than the growth theme. The 2008 Lehman crisis and the one before it in 1998 were caused by structural weaknesses triggered by a crisis in the system. This is a cyclical weakness that is different from the past." Professor Lim served as a representative for Goldman Sachs Research and Macquarie Securities stock division. He caught the attention of the stock market by accurately predicting that the KOSPI index would be 1,000 points in 2005 and would exceed 2000 points in 2007. - Concentration meetings week
- Concentration meetings week During the week of November SKK GSB arranged lunch meetings for students and professors in a friendly environment. There were three concentrations around which the students met: finance, marketing and management. During this time, the students were able to share their expectations and receive expert advice about the future path they want to pursue. Through this informal meeting, students shared their concerns with their designated advisors for the next year. In SKK GSB, the relationship between students and professors is very warm. A majority of the faculty has adopted an open-door policy and is sincerely concerned about a student’s development. That’s why they are very open to sharing any topic with them and are constantly giving advice.
