A Full-Time MBA Global Field Trip took place from May 16 through 20, 2016. A Global Field trip is a required course in the Full-Time MBA curriculum that helps students to experience the global business environment and current business situation in various areas. Forty-two students were divided into two groups and each group visited Vietnam and Cambodia this year.
Students visited British American Tobacco (BAT), Square Group, Kumho Tire, and Mercedez Benz in Vietnam and National University of Management, Dewhurst Group, G-Gear, Sabay Digital Corporation in Cambodia. Each company and institution provided a presentation, an on-site tour and a Q&A session for us. They shared their story, market strategy, business environment and the challenges they faced in each country, so students could have time to get to know the business in each country. Students passionately participated in every program and especially, they displayed the attitude of MBA students by asking many questions during Q&A sessions.
A part of the official schedule, SKK GSB provided a group tour for the students who wanted to join, so they had time to experience the culture and history of each country. Also students experienced the economy of each county in hand by conducting their own market research and investigation in various ways. This course ended with the submission of a report suggesting a business venture in each country.
The global Field Trip, one of the required courses in SKK GSB is a program where students can improve their perspectives as global leaders, not just as overseas travelers. Students participated in the program enthusiastically even in the hot weather and had a great opportunity where they could take a look at the business environment and set up their own business plans in each county.
